SWEATER GIRL

Cuando llega el frio hay una prenda que tenemos siempre en mente, una prenda que es sinónimo de invierno y de abrigo: el jersey. Es curioso como no pensamos en ellos cuando el tiempo no es tan malo, pero si bajan las temperaturas empezamos a otorgarle gran importancia. / When cold arrives there is a garment we always have in mind, a clothing that is synonymous of winter and warm: the sweater. Is odd how we don't think in them when weather is not that bad, but if the temperatures go down we start giving it a big importance.




Los jerseys nacieron en el siglo XIX, ante la necesidad de los pescadores británicos de una prenda de ropa que les protegiera del frio, y les mantuviera secos. La lana (por raro que pueda sonar) repele el agua, y es la única fibra natural que continua dando calor aunque este mojada. Existe una leyenda que cuenta que las mujeres Celtas tejían jerseys con un patrón especial (tal como ocurría con los tatuajes) para en caso de naufragio poder identificar el cuerpo de sus familiares, aun estando irreconocibles. / Sweaters were born in the 19th Century, by the need of the British fishermen of a garment that will protect them from cold, and keep them dry. Wool (as bizarre it my sound) fend off weather, is the only natural fiber that has the ability to keep warm even when is wet. There is a legend that tells Celtic's women use to knit the sweater with a costumer pattern  (as tattoos due to) so in case of a shipwreck they could still identify their family members, if the body would be unreconciled.

Hasta 1920, los jerseys no empezaron a ser una prenda en el mundo de la moda. Probablemente Coco Chanel fue una de las primeras personas que pensó en ella como prenda glamourosa. El apreciado jersey de cachemira, fue introducido por ella en el vestuario femenino. / Until 1920, sweater were not part of fashion. Maybe was Coco Chanel one of the first person who saw them as a glamorous clothing. The lovely cashmere sweater, was introduce by her into the female wardrobe.


Posteriormente, en 1933 fue la firma Pringle for Scotland, quien empezó a apostar por ellos con diseños espectaculares. Pero no fue hasta los 50 cuando se convirtieron en una prenda mas del armario femenino; no era de extrañar ver a las mujeres con un jersey y una falda de lana. / Lately, in 1933 was the brand Pringel of Scotland, who bet for them with gorgeous designs. But it wasn't until the 50's when they turn into a must have female wardrobe garment; was very popular seen the ladies with a sweater and a skirt. 


Una vez que ya sabemos algo mas de el, vamos a ver opciones de como llevarlo esta temporada siendo la mas trendy y estilosa, iras divina! / One we already know how to wear them, let's see the option of how to wear them this season t be the most trendy and stylish chick, you will look divine!


Como llevarlo? / How should I wear it.

1. Jersey y faldita. 


Una de las mejores formas de llevar un jersey para ir a la oficina, o para logra un look lady y elegante, es con una mini falda. De igual que sea de vuelo, de tablas, o vaquera. Con cualquiera de ellas, seras la mas chic, sexy y trendy del lugar. / One of the best ways to wear a sweater to work, or to get a lady and elegant look is with a short skirt. No matter if is a fly, a pleated  or a denim skirt. With any of them, you will be the most chick, sexy and trendy lady of the place.




2. Con una falda larga o midi. / With a midi or long skirt. 


 Esta temporada están teniendo mucha importancia la "falda midi", es decir, la falda que termina a media pierna, un poco mas abajo de la rodilla. Ello se debe a la influencia que la moda de los años 60 tiene este invierno en las tendencias. Y si ademas de estas falda, los jerseys son protagonistas activos de la moda ¿que mejor combinación para acertar e ir a la ultima? / This season the "midi skirt" is so in. 3. Jersey y falda de fiesta.


La mezcla de una prenda casual con otro de vestir es muy atractiva,  queda divina tanto para el dia a dia, como para un after work o una cena con amigas. Sin duda es la combinación mas contemporánea y mas chic.  Es ideal! / The mix of casual and dressy garments is very attractive, it looks gorgeous for the day or the evening, for and after work, or dinner with friends. No dude is the most contemporary and chic combination. Just love it!




4. Un jersey y poco mas. / A sweater and nothing else.


Se llevan muchísimo los jerseys largos, tipo vestido, con unos leotardos y unas botas, o unos botines. Según como los mezcles, puedes ser la mas atrevida del lugar o la chica mas recatada del momento. Incluso puedes llevarlos a la oficina con un blazer o unos zapatos de vestir, eso si, si optas por esta ultima opción, no vayas demasiado corta; en la discreción esta el buen gusto. / Long sweaters are so in, you can wear them with wool panty and a pair of boots or booties, as if it were a dress. Up to how you mix it, you can be the daring girl of the place, o the most demure chick. You can even wear them to work with a blazer and a dressy pumps, although if you chose this option, don't go too short; in discretion is the good taste. 





5. Los jerseys étnicos quedan divinos. / The ethnic sweaters looks divine.


Los jerseys étnicos son una opción fashion al mas puro estilo Isabel Marant. Casuales y chics son divinos para darle un toque desenfadado y con personalidad a cualquier look. Si tienes la oportunidad, añade uno a tu armario; no te arrepentirás. / Ethnic sweaters are a great fashion option, they are so Isabel Marant. Casual and chic, they are divine to create a free-and-easy look and with personality to any look. If you have the opportunity, add one to your closet, you won't regret it. 




6. Jersey y leggings, la combinación definitiva. / Leggings and sweater, the finally combination.


Los leggings son una prenda que se ha convertido en imprescindible para el invierno, gracias a la virtud que tiene de protegernos del frio. Son mas calentitos que unos vaqueros, te resguardan del frio como unos leotardos, y son mas cómodos. Para combinarlos, los jerseys son su mejor aliados, pero ojo, tiene que ser un jersey largo, que es realmente la prenda que mas le favorece. / Leggings are a garment that is turn into a winter must have clothing, due to the fact that they protect from the cold. They are warmer than a pair of jeans, the protect you from cold as woolen tights, and are more comfortable. To wear them, sweaters are the best allied, but careful, it must be a long sweater which is the garment they look like the best with.

Pasamos de cazadoras de cuero a jerseys, y de jerseys a faldas con vuelo haciendo un repaso a las tendencias otoño-invierno 2013-2014. Cada vez las tendencias son mas, y los estilos salen a la calle y se repiten. Cada vez hay mas oferta, lo que permite elegir el estilo que quieras, la tendencia que vaya contigo y ponerte lo que te apetezca, que al fin y al cabo de trata de eso. / We go from motor jackets to sweaters, and form sweaters to fly skirts, making a review into fall-winter 2013-2014 fashion. Every time there are more trends, the styles hit the streets and go copycat. Each time, there is a bigger offer, it help chose the style you want, the trend more likely for you and to wear whet you feel like; after all this is fashion.


La falda es una pieza femenina, una prenda ideal para combinar con lo que quieres, y para crear (o no) un look lady. Si encima hablamos de faldas cortas o mini, el resultado es un estilismo sensual, femenino, y chic, te animas a llevarlas? / Skirts are a female clothing, a divine garment to mix with what you want and to create (or not) lady looks. If we talk about short or mini skirts, the result is sensual, feminine and chic, redy to wear them?


He querido titular el post "faldas al vuelo" porque se trata de esas faldas que con viento o aire se mueven gracias a su diseño y a la tela de la que se componen, es decir las denominadas faldas vuelo, o faldas de vuelo.  Una faldita ideal para ser la mas estilosa del lugar. / I wanted to named "flying skirts" this post, because those skirts with wind or air move thanks to the fabric and design they are made of, they are the fly skirt or flying skirts.


Tipos de faldas con vuelo. / Types of flying skirts. 

1. Falda de campana o campanilla plisada. / Pleated skirt.


Las faldas campana son aquellas faldas cuya forma es de campana; es estrecha en la cintura y se ensancha con elegancia según va cayendo hacia las rodillas. Ademas, esta decorada por pliegues en la tela. Es una falda que favorece mucho a quienes tienen muslos y caderas de cierto tamaño, ya que las disimula. El truco: consigue looks casuales y estilosos para cualquier momento del dia. / Pleated skirts are those skirts (in this case, they are also named pleated, although they are a bit different from the pleated skirt we already knew) with a tulipan form; is narrow at the waist and flarence with elegance when it falls to the knees. Plus, is decorated with pleats in the fabric. Is a skirt that suite those who have thighs and hips of a certain size, it disguises them. The tip: get a casual and stylish looks for any time of the day.





2. Skater.


No es muy diferente que la falda campana, de hecho su forma es muy similar, y en ocasiones hasta difícil de distinguir, eso si, tiene menos pliegues que la anterior. "Skater skirt" es un termino bastante moderno (de hecho no hay traducción en español), que recoge dentro de el a la falda con forma de campana. Se trata de una falda que favorece mucho a la mujer, ya que juega con su figura y le otorga carácter juvenil.  El truco: si se te ocurre, seguro que combinan perfectamente. / Is not very different from the pleated kirt, and many times is hard to tell, but it has less pleated. "Skater skirt" is a modern word, many countries are adapting the term to define those skirts. Is a skirts who suits a lot, it plays with the female figure, and gives it a young character. The tip: if you think of it, they will match together.




3.  Falda de volantes / Rufled skirts.


Es la falda mas novedosa de las tres y la que es mas fácil de distinguir. Su carácter es mucho mas trendy que los de las anteriores, y mas difícil de llevar. Se trata de una falda que se ciñe a la cadera, y empieza a caer recta como si se tratara de una falda de tubo, pero termina con unos volantes que la decoran y le dan un toque de elegancia. Queda perfecta si estas delgada, pero si tienes retención de líquidos, o estas pasando por esos días del mes, es mejor que la dejes donde este y optes por otra prenda, ya que te marcan el estomago. / Is the most new skirt of all them three, and the easier to identify. It's character is much more trendy than the previous one, and more hard to wear. Is a skirt tight to the waist and start to fall straight as if it were a pencil skirt, but it end up with rufles that decorated it and spreed elegance. It looks gorgeous if you are thin but if you got fluid retention or are through those days of the month, you better leave it where ever it was, and chose another garment to wear, because it marks the stomach.




Como llevarla. / How to wear it.

1. Toque lady. / Lady like


Se lleva mucho, esa mujer elegante, estilosa, siempre correcta con aire clásico o moderno pero guardando las formas. Esa mujer que sale a la calle y los hombres se giran y la miran, aquella que sentada en una cafetería es observada por mas de un admirador a quien cautiva, esa dama que es dibujada por las palabras en una novela en tiempos revueltos. Si, esa puedes ser tu, estilosa y divina con un look lady propio de Olivia Palermo o Kate Middleton. / Is so in, the elegant, stylish, always correct woman with a classic or modern toch but keeping up appearing. That woman when she walks the street men turn around, sat in a cafe is observed by more than one admired she captivated, the lady is drawn by the words in a novel in turbulent times. Yes, she can be you, stylish and divine with  a lady look like Olivia Palermo or Kate Middleton.




2. Toque masculino. / Male style.


Los polos opuestos se atraen, la moda lo sabe, y juega con ellos. Si quieres pasar de ese look lady, y vestir mas desenfadada, original y masculina, esta es tu mejor opción. Deja de ser la chica fina, la damisela en apuros y conviértete en una mujer independiente, segura de si misma y con decisión, se la próxima Cara Delavigne. Tienes algo que perder? / Opposite poles get attracted, fashion knows ity and play with them. If you want to avoid the lady look and dress more free-and-easy, original and masculine, this is your best option. Stop been the nice and cheesy girl, the damsel in tight spots, and turn into a independent, self-confident and daring lady, be the next Cara Delavigne. Do you have something to lose?

TIME FOR ANKLE BOOTS

Desde hace algunas temporadas los botines ocupan un espacio importante en nuestro zapatero, son los hermanos pequeños de las botas, el pequeño acaparador, tanto, que han conseguido arrebatarles su protagonismo. / From few seasons ankle boots have take a important space on our shoe closet, they are the small brother of the boots, the little hoarder, they took over the boots protagonist.



Los botines son piezas que empezaron a utilizarse en el Siglo XIX, y desde entonces no han dejado, de formar parte de la moda tanto para el vestuario femenino como para el masculino. En un principio, se trataba de una bota pensada para llevar bajo los pantalones, de ahí que su caña sea mas baja. / Ankle boots are pieces that started to be use in the 19th Century, since then thay have been always in fashion, no mater if there were for females or men. At the beging it was a boot to be wear with pants, usually under them, there for the leg was more short.




Botas o botines? / Boots or booties? 

Todo depende... Si te apetece crear un look elegante o desenfadado, si quieres ir abrigada o a la ultima, si pretendes dar una visión estilizada de tus piernas o si prefieres  mostrarte tal como eres. Iras perfecta con botines o con botas, esta temporada los extremos se atraen, ahora la elección es solo tuya. / All depends... Is you feel like making an elegant or free-and-easy look, if you want to stay warm or be in the last tren, if you want to show your leg stylish or you rather leave it as you are. You will look great ether with ankle boots or boots, this winter ends are drawn, the choice is only yours.




Los tipos de botines. / Ankle boots types. 

1. Con correa al tobillo. / Ankle Strap.


Se trata de aquellos botines que se atan al tobillo con una correa. Su diseño deriva de las sandalias con correa en el tobillo, tan populares durante el verano de 2012 y el de 2013. / They are those booties that tight to the ankle with a strap. Aunque, si Coco Chanel viviera en nuestros días, esta pequeña obra del diseño hubiera surgido de su mente, lo siento Karl! / Those Chanel booties, are really original, the achivement is Karl Lagerfeld's. Although if Coco Chanel would live those days, this small design piece would come out of her mind, sorry Karl!


2. Botín masculino. / Menswear.


Cuando una tendencia se hace popular en el mundo de la moda, los accesorios y complementos también se adaptan a ella. Llevamos un par de inviernos como el estilo masculino y el tuxedo ocupan una parte importante de nuestro vestuario, por ello, no era de extrañar que el calzado también adsorba parte de dicha tendencia. / When a trend becomes popular in fashion, accessories and other pieces get adapted to it. We have seen for a few winters how men and tuxedo style get an important part into our wardrobe, for that, it was no surprise to see footwear adsorbing part of the trend.

Para identificar este botín lo único necesario es pensar en el vestuario masculino, y si encaja, voila, entrara dentro de dicha categoría; así de fácil. Para llevarlos o lo haces con un look masculino o desenfadado, u optas por jugar con ellos, utilizándolos para relajar un look muy lady, o demasiado cursi. / To identify this booties you just need to think in men wardrobe, and if it fits, voila, it gets into that category; that simple. Se trata de ese botín cuyo diseño se caracteriza por tener una pequeña apertura en el frontal, al nivel del tobillo, como si pretendieran conservar algún rasgo de similitud con el zapato. Es bonito y elegante, peor para poder ponertelo tienes que tener un tobillo delgado, de lo contrario, o lo llevas con pantalones o mejor opta por algun otro modelo que te favorezca mas. / Is the booties whose design has a small opening in the front, at the ankle side, it seems it want to save a similar trait with shoes. El truco: mezcla texturas y juega con ellas; mezcla estilos, y saca tu lado mas creativo. / We started seen them last winter, now they still in, one by one along with the grunch trend. PUT SOME COLOR IN YOUR WINTER

Estamos ya con un pie en Diciembre, ese mes que nos trae locos por muchas cosas, una claramente, es el frio. Las bajas temperaturas hacen que nos cueste salir de casa sino es estrictamente necesario, pero la vida son dos días, y no podemos permitir que el tiempo, la temperatura, nuestro estado de animo, o lo que sea, afecte en ella. Para combatir el frio, tenemos que contar con nuestro mejor aliado: el abrigo. / We have one feet in December already, this month drives us  crazy for many reasons, one clearly is the cold. Low temperatures make it hard going out if there is not strictly necessary but life is too short, and we can let the weather, the low temperatures or our mood make decisions over it. To fight cold, we have to count with our best allied: the coat.


El abrigo es la prenda perfecta para este invierno, los diseños entallados, XXL y el estilo masculino los diferencian y hacen que sean una pieza trendy de los pies a la cabeza. / Coats are this winter must have pieces, the tailored, oversize or male designs makes the difference and turn it into a trendy piece from head to toe.




Las telas perfectas para protegerte son el pelo y la lana. Tejidos ideales para protegerse del frio. Estamos acostumbrados a ver tres tonos en invierno: el negro, el gris y el marrón, es como si los demás estuvieran invernando. Desde hace algunas temporadas los diseñadores y las firmas de moda han añadido algunos tonos del pantone a sus colecciones otoño-invierno, el azul, el granate y el rojo han sido algunos de los afortunados, ahora, una prenda, permite que los colores invadan las calles y retar a los tonos neutros. / Colors go from pastel pink, to strong colors  such as red, green, fuchsia, purple, yellow going through the mix of colors and prints. We are use to see few colors in winter: black, grey and brown, it seems the rest are hibernate. From few seasons designers and fashion brands have add new colors from the pantone to this fall-winter collections, blue, maroon and red are the lucky ones, now one garment, let the colors encroach the streets, and challenge neutral tones.

1. Los tonos pastel. / Pastel colors


Los tonos pastel le dan un toque de feminidad a los abrigos masculinos, de siluetas XXL y grandes solapas. / Pastel colors add femininity to male coats, oversize silhouettes and strong collars.


Son colores que derrochan dulzura, delicadeza, romanticismo, por ello son perfectos para crear cualquier look femenino, para ir a la oficina o para ir arreglado a un evento serio. / They spread sweetness, tact, romanticism, therefore they are great to create a feminine look, to go to work, or to assist to a serious event.

3. Los estampados. / Prints. 


Los estampados están de moda mas que nunca: el leopardo, la zebra, la serpiente, los cuadros, la pata de gallo, las flores, alguien da mas? / Prints are more in than ever: leopard, zebra, snake, stripes, hundstooth, flowers, someone have any other subjection?


Son divertidos, atrevidos, aptos para una chica segura de si misma y con personalidad, que adora jugar con la moda, y romper con todo. Es curioso como mi agenda cada día esta mas ocupada. El miércoles fue un día loco, una día que termino con la visita al Estudio Isaac Salido, donde se celebrara el Open Day y el after work con catering de Ramon Freixa de TBE Agency, agencia de comunicación que lleva firmas como Solan de Cabras, o al prestigioso diseñador Assaad Awad. / Is odd how my agenda is each day more busy. Wednesday was a crazy day, the day ended up with the visit to Isaac Salido studio, where took place the TBE Agency Open Day and the after work with catering from Ramon Freixa, press agency that represents the brand Solan de Cabras, or the well-known designer Assaad Award.



Fue en Febrero cuando te hable por primera vez sobre Assaad Awad, con motivo del desfile de su colección Primavera-Verano 2014, aquí. En esta ocasión estaba expuesto una pequeña representación de su trabajo; accesorios, un par de camisetas y el famoso vestido que esculpió para Lady Gaga. / It was in February when I first talked about Assaad Award due to his Spring-Summer 2014 collection, hear. This time was show a small part of his work; accessories, few t-shirts, and the famous dress he sculpt for Lady Gaga.

El vestido esta echo de madera, en una sola pieza. Assaad lo esculpió para la cantante, el vestido todavía conserva la mancha de carmín de los labios de Lady Gaga.  Próximamente, el vestido se va a cortar en 500 trozos de madera, y se venderá cada uno, numerados del 1 al 500, a 10,00 euros, con el sello del diseñador, para la ayuda contra el SIDA, #IWoodHelp AIDS Fight. Si quieres comprar tu trocito de madera pincha aquí. / The dress is made of wood, in one piece. Assaad sculpt it for the singer, the dress still have the stained by the Lady Gaga red lipstick. Soon the dress will be cut in 500 wood flakes, and each one will be sale, number them from 1 to 500, for 10 euros, with the signature of the designer, to help against AIDS, #IWoodHelp AIDS Fight. DISCOVERING: BAIN DE NUIT PARIS

Cada vez los días pasan mas rápido, debe ser signo de que me estoy haciendo mayor, o de que cada día estoy mas ocupada. Echando un vistazo al calendario, me he dado cuenta de que para Navidad quedan menos de dos semanas. Oh no!!! todavía queda ver lo que nos ponemos para las fiestas. Por ello, he pensado en una firma, especialista en vestidos "diferentes" de fiesta, que conocí el mes pasado gracias a Six Madrid; a la firma pret a porter Bain de Nuit. / Each time days fly faster, it must be a sign telling me I am getting older, or maybe is just that I am more busy every day.  Looking at the calendar, I have realized we are in Christmas two weeks from now.Oh no!!! we still have to see what to wear then. I have thought about a brand, expert in "different" party dress, I got to know last month, thanks to Six Madrid, the fashion house Bain de Nuit.

Detrás de esta firma esta la diseñadora Chantal Temam. Chantal es una mujer que desde niña a sentido la moda como parte de su vida, su padre era sastre y con el paso muchas horas en su taller de costura. Eso hizo que el mundo de la moda fuera el escenario preferido de la diseñadora, e hizo todo lo posible para seguir en el; primero formándose en diseño, y luego con varias becas en casas de moda. / Behind this brand is Chantal Temam. Chantel is a woman who has grow up with fashion, her father was a taylor, and so she has spent many hours with him at his atelier. Due to that fashion wold was her favorite stage and she did everything to be there; first by going to stylish school and second taking few internships in fashion houses.


En 1998 crea, junto a su hijo, la firma Bain de Nuit. Una firma especializada en vestido femeninos para el día; elegantes, cómodos y con mucho estilo. HOUNDTOOTH IS HEAR

Este invierno el estampado ha venido pisando fuerte con idea de destronar a los tonos lisos que siempre han sido característicos del otoño y del invierno. Si hace algunos post, escribía sobre el estampado escoces y su éxito en la moda durante el 2013, ahora lo haremos de otro estampado, que tambien procede de Escocia; el estampado de pata de gallo. / This winter print had step strong over the fashion market with the idea of taking the place of plain colors popular in fall and winter. If few post ago I wrote about tartan print and the successes in 2013, now is time to look at another print, another Scottish one; houndtooth.


Indagando un poco... / Enquire into it...

Se conoce como pata de gallo al tejido estampado que combina dos tonos, caracterizado por cuadros rotos o formas abstractas terminadas en cuatro puntas por lo general en blanco y negro, aunque también se usan otros tonos.  / Is known as houndtooth the duo tone print pattern, characterized by broken checks and abstract four pointed shapes often in black and white, although other tones are used. 




Este estampado, en un principio, estaba pensado, por los Escoceses, para formar decorar prendas de lana, aunque en la actualidad se estampa en cualquier tejido. De echo una de las primeras referencias del uso de este estampado, en lo que respecta al mundo de la moda, fue en 1885, cuando Alfred De Pinna, el propietario de un retail de Nueva York, incluyo este estampado en algunas de las prendas confeccionadas para mujeres y hombres. Y en 1933 las incluyo mezclando a su vez el estampado escoces en su colección masculina de Primavera. Es posible que debido a ello, se convirtiera, en los  años 30 en símbolo de la clase alta. / This pattern was, at the begging made, by the Scottish, to decorate wool garments, although today they can be print in any fabric. One of the fist reference of the use of this print in fashion, was in 1885 when Alfred De Pinna, a New York retailer, add it on few clothing made for men and women. In 1933, De Pinna use it mixed with plaid pattern for his men spring collection. May be this was the reason why houndtooth were a symbol of the upper class in the 30's.


En 1959 Dior lo incorporo a sus diseños, y se transformo en uno de los estampados favoritos de la casa francesa. En los 60 fue muy popular, aunque siempre ha estado presente en el mundo de la moda entrando y saliendo de ella con bastante frecuencia. / In 1969 Dior add it to it's designs, and turn it into one of the favorite prints of the french house. In the 60's it was very popular, it has been always present in fashion, some years in, and others out.


En Australia, el estampado de pata de gallo forma parte del logo de los grandes almacenes David Jones. Se trata de una de las imágenes corporativas australianas mas conocidas. / In Australia, houndtooth pattern form part of the logo of the David Jones, department store. Is one of the most popular australian's corporate images.

En la actualidad, han sido muchos los diseñadores que lo han tenido presente en sus colecciones de otoño-invierno: Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, etc. / Lately, few designers have though of it for their fall-winter collections: Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, etc.

Como llevarlo. / How to wear it.

1. Con negro. / With black.


Es curioso como en invierno nuestro armario se tiñe de negro. Es ese color, que queda bien con todo, que es sinónimo de elegancia, que es estiloso, chic, y divino. No cabe ninguna duda, el negro y la moda se dan la mano, el estampado de pata de gallo mezclado con negro es idóneo para aderezar cualquier look. / Is bizarre how in winter, our closet is dye with black. Is the color that fits everything, is synonymous of elegance, is stylish, chic and divine. There is no dude, black and fashion come together, houndtooth mix with black is perfect to get any look.




2. Con rojo. / Red time!


Dale un toque de color a tu vida, y a tu armario. El rojo queda ideal con este estampado, y es un tono que trasmite alegría, optimismo, fuerza, y pasión. Vístete con una prenda o un accesorio, que le de el color y la vida al estampado bicolor. / Give a touch of color to your life and to your wardrobe. All is suitable, the limit: your creativity.



5. Exagerando. / Exaggerating.  


Viste de pata de gallo de los pies a la cabeza. Riete de la moda, de ti, de la vida, de tu estilismo y de lo que se te ponga por delante. Disfruta de todo, la vida es demasiado corta para perder tu energía en tonterías! / Dress with houndtooth from head to toe. Laugh of fashion, laugh of yourself, laugh of your look, and what ever that stands in front of you. Enjoy everything life is too short to loose your energies with nonsense!


5. Como accesorio. / Accessories are always great.


Los accesorios son esos instrumentos del mundo de la moda que pueden lograr cualquier cosa. Son nuestro mejor aliado, unas piezas casi de museo que toman los mejores lugares en nuestro armario y de nuesto estilismo; nunca pasan desapercibidos. / Accessories are those fashion tools that can get anything. They are our best allied, a museum piece takes over the best places of our closet, and our looks; they can't be unnoticed.

CHRISTMAS TIME TO DRESS UP

Como cambia la vida verdad? Según vas creciendo esas fechas entrañables que tanto adorabas de niña, dejan de ser perfectas para convertirse en una fecha mas, llena de compromisos, algunos de ellos inevitables y temerosos, otros felices y divertidos. / How life change, doesn't it? As you grow up those greet days you used to love, stop been perfect and turn into another day, full of compromise, few inevitable and frightened, others happy and funny.


El caso es, que hay que arreglarse, es el momento de estrenar un nuevo look, de sacar tu máxima creatividad, de jugar con las prendas de tu armario, vamos, de lo que quieras. Pero claro esta que son fechas en que nos gusta, y en el fondo es una tradición, arreglarnos y ponernos divinas. / The thing is, we got to drees up, is time to wear brand new clothing, to squeeze your creativity, to play with your closet garments, is time for what you want ot feel.  But is pretty clear that are days we like and at the end they are pure tradition, dress up and look gorgeous.



Vivimos en una sociedad con prisas, vamos rápido, miramos el reloj, no sabemos economizar nuestro tiempo, y siempre lo dejamos todo para ultima hora. Es bastante probable que a estas alturas estés dudando que ponerte, que necesites ese ultimo empujón, un empujón que quiero darte con este post, para que te sirva de ayuda, y de inspiración. / In the society we live in, we go fast, we look at the time, we don't know how to economize our time, and we leave everything for the last moment. Is pretty probably buy now, you still don't know what to wear, you might need the last push, a push I want to do with this post, it be a help and inspiration, I hope. 


Que ponerte en Navidad. / What to wear for Christmas.

- Un vestido negro con bordados. Sencillo, divino y perfecto. Llévalo con unos taconazos, y si el bordado es demasiado decorativo (como el de la foto) no abuses con los pendientes, ponte unos discretos, y deja que el vestido haga su trabajo. / A embroider black dress. Simple, divine and perfect. Wear it with high heels, and if the embroidered is too decorative, as the one in the picture, choice small earrings, wear a discreet ones and let the dress do it job.


- "En la sencillez, esta la máxima sofisticacion" dijo Steve Jobs. No hay mayor verdad en moda, ni en clase, ni en estilo. Un vestido sencillo, corto y discreto es la clave de éxito para acudir a cualquier reunión, o evento. / Someone once said: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"; it was Steve Jobs, he didn't knew about fashion, but made the best idea ever with this quote. There is no more true in fashion, neither in class or style. A simple, short and discreet dress is the clue to success to attent to a family meeting or event.


- Cuando pensamos en que ponernos, si nos gusta la moda, el 80% se trata de un vestido, pero hay otras opciones ideales, que dan mas juego. Como un conjunto de camisa o top y falda, quedaras divina, y tendrás menos opciones de coincidir con alguien que lleva tu mismo estilismo, si vas a algún evento multitudinario. / When we like fashion, and think what to wear, the 80% of the time, we do thing of a dress, but there are other great options, more creative. Wearing a shirt or top and a skirt, you will look divine, and you will got less options to happend to meet another person with the same outfit, if you go to a mass event.


- Con una falda lápiz, siempre acertaras; clásica, con estilo y muy chic. El truco: pontela con accesorios modernos, descarados y algo atrevido. Marcaras tu personalidad. / Wearing a pencil skirt is always right; classy, stylish and very chic. The tip: wear it with fashionable accessories, daring and a insolent. You will show your personality.


- Los tonos metalizados no pueden faltar en Navidad, y tampoco el negro. El vestido cocktail, es una de las opciones mas aplaudidas para estas fechas, y un acierto seguro. El de la imagen que lleva Chiara de The Blond Salad, es de Guess. / Metallic colors are a must have for Christmas, and so does black. A cocktail dress, is one of the most acclaim option for those dates, and a sure hit. The one of the picture that is wearing Chiara, from The Blonde Salad, is from Guess.


- En muchas ocasiones, antes de decidir que ponerte, tienes que tener claro a donde vas. No es lo mismo, si sales con tus amigas, si vas con tu familia, o si acudes a un evento de la familia de tu chico. Pero ante la duda, es mejor pecar de sosa, y clásica, que de atrevida o creativa, porque lo que pretendes es dar una buena impresión. Es tema de protocolo! / In many times, before deciding what to wear, you have to get clear where you are going. Is not the same to hang out with your friends, if you go with your family or if you attent to you in boyfriend's (or in law) family house. If you doubt, is better to look dull and clasic, than daring and creative, because what you want is to cause a great impresion. Is all about protocol!


- Déjate de clasicismos, y dale un toque creativo y distinto a tu look navideño. Una faldita de vestir y un jersey casual, pueden quedar divinos si los combinas con los accesorios perfectos; de fiesta, o de vestir, ambos te valen. Te atreves? / Stop cliches, and give a different touch to your Christmas look. A dressy skirt and a casual dress will make it perfect, they will look gorgeous if you match them with the right accesories; party or dressy, all are welcome. You dare?


- El cuero es un material que ha dejado de confeccionar solo prendas casuales y desenfadadas, y se ha adaptado como envoltorio de vestidos cocktail y de fiesta. Eso si, tienes que tener tipazo para llevar un vestido de dicho tejido, y ojo!, tiene que quedarte como un guante; sino olvídalo, no es una opción. / Leather is a material that has stop to be only use to tailor casual and free-and-easy clothing, and has adapted as a wrapper of party and cocktail dresses. Although you have to have a great figure to wear a dress made of this fabric, and careful! it has to fit like a glove, otherwise, forget it, is not an option.


- No olvides que el vestido largo también es una opción, hay algunos ideales. El truco esta en, que no sean demasiado arreglados si vas a acudir a una cena familiar, para ello, el truco es jugar con los accesorios; a un vestido mas arreglado mas sencillos accesorios, y viceversa. / Don't forget a long dress can be also an option, there are gorgeous ones. The tip is to choice a simple dress if you are going to a family dinner, for that, the trick is to play with the accessories: a long dressy dress less accessories, and the other way.


- Los monos se llevan mucho, y son otra posibilidad. Eso si, a cualquiera no le sientan bien; tienes que ser alta y tu cuerpo debe ser alargado, sobre todo las piernas. Cuando te pruebes uno, fijate bien como te queda, sobre todo por detras, ya que es ahi, donde se ve si te sientan bien o no. / Jumpsuits are so in, and are other option. But they are not suitable for everyone; you have to be told and have a long figure, especially the legs. When you try on one, look how it suits you, specially in the back, there you can notice if they flatter you or not.

Estos días, ya no son lo que eran pero aun así, hay que saber disfrutar y ver el lado bueno de todo. Es estupendo poder estar aquí un año mas, compartiendo contigo estas fechas, y deseando hacerlo por mucho tiempo. / This time of the year, are not what they used to be, although is time to enjoy and look at the bright side of all. Is great to be another year hear sharing with you and willing to do it for a long time. 

Os deseo todo lo mejor para estas fechas, que disfrutéis de vuestro seres queridos, y de la vida. Todo depende de como veas las cosas, aprende a reírte de la vida, y disfrútala. /  I whish you all the best for this days with your loves ones, learn to enjoy every moment. 2013 ICONS AND PERFUME

Hablemos de clichés, al final del año, toca hacer un resumen de lo mejor que ha pasado durante esos 365 días que están a punto de acabar, y claro, en un blog de moda, tendremos que hablar de moda, o no? Pero hagamos un paréntesis y dejamos a los diseñadores a un lado, y hablemos de los perfumes, esas esencias indispensables que como decía la misma Coco Chanel "una mujer que no lleva perfume no tiene futuro". / Let's talk about cliches, at the end of the year its time to take a look back to what has happened during the last 365 days are about to finish, in a fashion blog we have to talk about fashion, don't we? But let's take a break and stop talk about designers, is time to talk about perfumes, those essential scent as Coco Chanel used to say: "a woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future".

Blake Lively sigue siendo la imagen de Premiere de Gucci. El anuncio no ha cambiado, Gucci vuelve a utilizar el spot que rodó en 2012 con el director Nicolas Winding Refn. El anuncio refleja la era de oro de Hollywood, Blake emula a una actriz de los anos 60; una mujer segura, fuerte, moderna y con perspectivas de futuro. / Blake Lively has still be the image of Gucci Premiere. The ad is the same, Gucci reused the 2012 commercial directed by Nicolas Widinf Refn. The ad shows Hollywood golden era, Blake is the image of a 60's star; a confident, strong, modern and ahead of time. 






El vestido que lleva Blake para el spot es de Gucci, para el se han empleado mas de 300.000 detalles de cristal, 1000 de ellos son de Swarovski, y para su confección se ha empleado mas de 1000 horas de trabajo. / The dress Blake wears for the commercial is from Gucci and has 300.000 crystal details, 1000 of them are from Swarovski, and to made it 1000 hours of work were needed. 




Porque es un icono? / Why she is an icon?


Fue Serena, su personaje de Gossip Girl quien le dio la fama, esa fue su cuna. Pero Blake ha sabido volar perfectamente y convertirse en una actriz admirada por su trabajo,  por su determinación, por su belleza y por su sensualidad. Si hace unos días hablábamos de ideas para vestir en Navidad, ahora toca Noche Vieja, esa noche que trae locos a muchos. Una noche que no deja a nadie indiferente, porque se acaba un año y empieza el siguiente. Siempre esperamos que ese siguiente sea mejor que le anterior, que haga realidad nuestros sueños, que nos de lo que tanto necesitamos, porque la raza humana es así, vivimos de esperanza, de ahí el famoso refrán: "la esperanza es lo ultimo que se pierde". / If few days ago we talk about how to dress for Christmas, now is time for New Year's Eve, that evening that drive crazy to many. A night that doesn't leave anyone indifferent; the year is coming to the end and a new one starts. We expect the new year will be better than the last one, that it will make our dreams come true, that will give us what we really need, because human race is like that: "hope is the last thing we lose".

Busca un pantalón que te vista, capri o largo, con animal print, lentejuelas o lo que sea, y pontelo con una blusa o un top elegante. En función de como sea dicho conjunto juega con los accesorios. Mirando atrás en el tiempo, como fue 2013? En Mia's Scrapbook hemos hablado de tendencias, de desfiles, de eventos, de inauguraciones, de nuevas colecciones, etc. He mezclado momentos de mi vida personal como la perdida de Kiara; el peor momento del 2013, con otros totalmente profesionales, como los desfiles de Cibeles, las colecciones capsulas de Tommy Hilfiger, o las colecciones de Lacoste y Clarks. / Looking back in time, how was 2013? In Mia's Scrapbook we have talks about trends, catwalks, events, openings, new collections, etc. I have mix my personal life such us the lost of Kiara; it was the worst moment of 2013, ,with other professional ones such us Cibeles's catwalk, the Tommy Hilfiger limited collections or the collections of Lacoste and Clarks.

CROP TOPS FOR WINTER

El crop top es esa prenda que poco a poco, va tomando posiciones en las pasarelas para desplazarse a los escaparates, las calles y los armarios. En el 2011 os contaba, aquí, que era una prenda que no había logrado introducirse en el mercado, aunque fuera considerada tendencia, y así es, tuvo que esperar hasta el 2013 para pasar de ser una simple prenda sin futuro a una prenda imprescindible de cualquier fashionista. Parece que la espera ha merecido la pena. / The crop top is that garment that step by step has take it's room; first at catwalks, then at the stores' windows, and then in the streets and many closets. In 2011 I wrote, hear, it was a garment that haven't got into the market, although it was a trend. Of course, it had to wait until 2013 to turn from a non future garment to a essential garment for any fashion girl. It seems waiting was worth it.


Se trata de una prenda que va a seguir en las revistas de moda, y se quedara como tendencia de la próxima Primavera. Se trata de esa prenda corta, que deja ver parte del torso y muestra el abdomen. Es esa pieza que volvió locos a muchos (en ambos sentidos) cuando Madonna lo exploto en los 80, el vídeo "Lucky Star" es la madre de esta tendencia. En los 90, siguió estando de moda gracias a cantantes como Britney Spears, las Spice Girls or Christina Aguilera. / Is that garment we will still see at fashion magazine, it will stay with us a trend for next Spring. Is that short top, that leave part of the tors, and shows the gut. Is the clothing which drove crazy to many (in the two ways) when Madonna exploit it in the 80's, the video "Lucky Star" is the begging of this trend. In the 90's it was still in thanks to singers such as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears or the Spice Girls. 





No olvides que es mejor llevarlos con partes de abajo que tengan la cintura alta, ya que así estilizan la figura. Y no olvides las siguientes reglas: / Don't forget is better to wear it with a high waster bottom, it will stylize you figure. And don't forget the following rules:


- Si eres pequeña, busca un crop top ajustado. / Is you are petite side, look for a tight crop top.

- Si tienes bastante pecho ojo con el escote que te pones. Eliges un crop top de cuello redondo. / If you have big chest, be careful with the neckline you wear. Go for a scoop neckline top.



- Si tienes curvas, busca un crop top largo, que no ensene mucha piel, iras perfecta, y resaltaras tu figura. / If you got curves, look for a mid-legit crop top, you will look great and will highlight your figure.

1. Un jersey especial. / A special sweater.


Ahora los jerseys se acortan y pasan a competir con las camisetas. Este invierno la apuesta segura es un jersey crop top, seras la mas fashion del lugar. / Now sweaters get shorter, they are the rival of the t-shirts. This winter the must have crop top is a sweater, you will be the coolest girl in town.




2. Esa camiseta. / That t-shirt


Es el crop top por excelencia, el pionero de todos. Queda genial con lo que quieras ponerte, largo o corto, ajustado o amplio, todo depende de la imagen que quieras dar y de tu figura. No te olvides, si eres menudita, cuanto mas ajustado sea el top mejor. / Is the crop top itself, the pioneer of all. Es la pieza mas femenina y delicada que representa esta tendencia. Una pieza trabajada con tejido suave, y de diseño. Para llevarla la mejor opción es hacerlo con prendas de cintura alta, y si son lisas y minimalistas mejor. / Is the most femenine and delicated piece of this trend. A piece made with soft and decorated fabrics. To wear it, the best option is with a bottom high waisted garment, and better if the bottom clothing is plain or minimalist.

El cuero es ese tejido que ha llegado para quedarse. Empezó a conquistar el mundo de la moda con esas chaquetas de cuero que tuvieron tanta fama en los años 90, y continuo formando parte de la confección de otras prendas. Ahora, en el 2014 siguen estando de moda, te animas a formar parte de ella? / Leather is a fabric that has come to stay. It started to conquer the fashion word with the leather jackets, they started to be popular in the 90's and started to be part of another garments. Now, in 2014 they still on fashion, dare to be part of it?


Por el han apostado diseñadores y fabricantes, retailers y firmas de lujo. Los que no tenían para invertir, o no han querido por el tema del incremento de coste por prenda para el consumidor final, han utilizado otros materiales similares como la polipiel, cuyo coste es mucho menor, y sin embargo, la apariencia es muy similar.  / For it has bet designers and manufacturers, retailers and luxury brands. Those who didn't got to invest or didn't wanted due to the increasing cost per clothing for the final consumer have use similar fabrics such as imitation leather, whose cost is less, and however it look like the same.

Empezaron a verse hace poco mas de un año, y siguen cogiendo posiciones porque son unas faldas muy especiales. Quedan divinas con practicamente todo; una blusa, un jersey femenino, un jersey casual o una sudadera son los aliados perfectos, todo depende de que aspecto quieras causar en tu aspecto. / They are the most popular and approval in 2013 by bloggers, models and it-girls. Fue el lunes pasado cuando se me ocurrió escribir sobre Kate Beckinsale. Si pienso en ella, me viene a la cabeza la película Click,y Total Recall, ademas de eso, sabia que tenia estilo y clase para vestir, pero poco mas. Fueron las fotos de los Globos de Oro del pasado domingo, los que me hicieron decidirme por dedicarle un post. La actriz estaba radiante con el vestido palabra de honor con corte sirena de color plata de  Zuhair Murad Otoño 2013, claramente este post tenia que ser para ella. / It was last Monday when I decided to write about Kate Beckinsale. If I think of her, it comes to my mind the movies Click and Total Recall, apart from that, I know she was stylish and class to dress but nothing more. The pictures of the last Sunday Golden Globes, were the reason why I have decide to dedicate this post to her. The actresses was gorgeous with a strapless mermaid silver Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 couture gown, clearly this post had to be about her.


Quien es Kate Beckinsale? / Who is Kate Beckinsale?

Kate nació un 26 de Julio de 1973 en  Reino Unido.  Hija de Judy Loe, actriz británica conocida para trabajar en producciones inglesas de drama y de Richard Beckinsale, que fue un popular actor británico de comedia de los 70. Por desgracia, Richard falleció en 1979.  Kate creció con su madre, y obtuvo la mejor educación posible asistiendo a colegios privados en Londres. Siendo adolescente demostró habilidades en la escritura ganando en dos ocasiones el premio W.H.Smith de Jovenes Escritores. / Kate was born on July 26th 1973 in UK. Daughter of Judy Loe, british actrisses known for working into drama British movies, and Richard Beckinsale, a popular British comedy actor in 70's. As an teenager she prove she was a great writer by winning twice the British booksellers W.H.Smith Yong Winters' competition.

Su debut como actriz fue a los 20 años, mientras estudiaba en la Universidad de Oxford Literatura Francesa y Rusa. Para entonces Kate ya tenia claro que quería ser actriz, pero aun así Oxford era una oportunidad que no podía rechazar. De hecho, su tercer año de a la Universidad lo paso en París, en un programa de estudio de inmersión en la lengua francesa, y la cultura parisina. Kate estuvo saliendo 8 años con el actor Michel Sheen; con quien tuvo una hija, Lily Mo Sheen, en 1999 . THE BRAND: MEXTON

No hay mejor momento de la semana que los viernes por la tarde. Esa tarde larga y relajada que precede a un fin de semana cargado de ilusiones, actividades y grandes planes. Era una tarde desapacible, lluviosa y gris, el invierno se dejaba notar pero cuando tienes un evento apetecible da igual el tiempo que haga, un buen abrigo, una bufanda, un gorro y unos guantes y listo. El motivo: Jimena Mazucco, que ya ha formado parte del blog en mas de una ocasión, me había invitado a la venta privada de Mexton Madrid, que se celebraba en la tienda de Almirante 5. / There is no better moment of the week than friday afternoon. That long and relaxing evening that precede the weekend full of illusions, activities and big plans. It was a unpleasant, rainy and grey evening, winter was clearly there but when you have a nice event there is no matter the weather, a warm coat, a scarf, a hat and a pair of gloves and ready. The reason: Jimena Mazucco (how has been in the blog a couple times) had invited me to the Mexton Madrid private sale, that took place at the Almirante 5 shop.


Mexton nació hace casi 20 años, en Marzo de 1994, en Bucarest de la mano de la diseñadora Alina Violetta Tolescu. Hija de padre Rumano y madre sevillana, Alina desde niña había mostrado interés por el mundo de la moda y el diseño. Fue la maquina Singer que descubrió en casa de su abuela, la que le hizo que con 14 años empezara a coser, primero una chaqueta, y poco a poco fue creando otras piezas gracias a las revistas de patronaje. Pronto marcho a Milán para cursar sus estudios en la Escuela de Moda, y a partir de ahí no hubo quien la parara. / Mexton was born 20 years ago, on March 1994 in Bucarest by the designer Alina Violetta Tolescu. Her father is from Rumania and her mother from Sevilla (Spain), a exotic mix that made her fall in love with fashion when she was just a kid. It was her grandmother's Singer machine what made her start sewing at the age of 14, first it was a jacket, and step by step she was creating many clothing with the help of pattern magazines. Soon she move to Milan to study fashion at the Fashion School, and from then nothing has stopped her.

Alina es observadora, su inspiración viene de todo lo que tiene a mano. Cuando ve alguna prenda que le gusta toma la referencia y mentalmente hace los cambios precisos para convertirla en una prenda Mexton. / Alina loves to observe, she get her inspiration from all what she sees. When she find a garment or look she likes, she take the reference and mentally make the change that are need to turn it into a Mexton clothing.




La mujer Mexton es una mujer segura de si misma, atrevida, sensual y muy sexy. Le encanta mostrar su cuerpo y realzar sus curvas. Una mujer la que le gusta ser diferente, vestir diferente, pensar diferente. / Mexton women is self secure, wild, daring, sensual and very sexy. She loves to show her body and enhance her curves. A woman who wants to be different, dress different, think different.




La firma es especial gracias a su exclusividad, se hacen muy pocas prendas de cada modelo. Asi en la tienda de la calle Almirante, puedes encontrar 3 prendas de cada pieza; nada mas. Ademas, el sistema es muy rotatorio, cada semana hay artículos nuevos. / The brand is very special due to its exclusivity, there are made few items of each model. For instance, in the store of Almirante street in Madrid, you can find 3 garments of each model; no more. Each week there are new items at the shop.



Los tejidos y los materiales se compran en Italia, y se fabrica en Rumania, por lo que se trata de una firma 100% europea. Las tachuelas, las piedras de strass, el encaje, los detalles de piel, el mix vaquero-latex, son algunas de las peculiaridades que definen a los diseños de Mexton. / The fabrics and materials are bought in Italy, and are manufactured in Romania, is a 100% European brand. The studs, crystal stones, lace, fur details, the mix between denim and latex, are few of the characteristics that define Mexton designs.




Mexton tiene 96 tiendas en Rumania, todas ellas son franquicias. Ademas, cuenta con 6 tiendas en Italia, 4 en Milán y 2 en Florencia; 2 en Viena; 2 en Dubai; 1 en Polonia; 4 en Rusia, y 2 en España, Madrid (Almirante 5), Sevilla (Sierpes 77). Aunque en breve se abrirán en Bilbao, San Sebastián, Valencia, Cadiz y Puerto Banus. Como plan a corto plazo tiene pensado expandirse también en Estados Unidos.  / Mexton have 96 shops in Romania, all of them are franchise. MFSHOW MEN: ANGLOMANIA FW 14/15

Porque ellos también se cuidan, también les gusta verse guapos en el espejo, también pueden sacarse partido, también empiezan a entender de moda, porque ellos también cuentan. / Because they also take care of themselves, they also like to be good-looking in the mirror, they also can draw on, they also know about fashion, because they also count.

Llevo tiempo introduciendo, ligeramente, y con pequeños detalles, la moda masculina en el blog. En mi cabeza no deja de barajarse la idea de que ellos cada vez son mas importantes en este mundo de la moda. Claramente, así se va reflejando con el paso del tiempo, y es grato ver como se esta apostando por la moda masculina en España. Ya es la segunda edición de esta pasarela profesional masculina, una pasarela que va creciendo gracias a la apuesta de patrocinadores como El Corte Ingles, del trabajo y la creatividad de las firmas y diseñadores participantes, y del estupendo trabajo de mis compañeros de prensa y bloggers. / For a while I have been introducing, slightly with small details, male fashion in the blog. In my head there is the idea, men are each day more important in the fashion world. Clearly, it shows as the time pass by, and is pleasant to see how they are betting for men fashion in Spain. Is the second edition, of this male professional runway, a catwalk that is growing thanks to the sponsors such as El Corte Ingles, to the work of brands and designers, and to the great job of my fellows press and bloggers.

Gratamente recibí una invitación para asistir al desfile de Anglomania. Una firma masculina centrada en un hombre elegante al que le gusta vestir bien, que tiene mucha personalidad, y gusto por la moda. Una firma creada entre tradición y modernidad, entre el estilo british  y un toque latino, entre un aire serio y otro desenfadado. Asi es Anglomania, una firma única, creativa e ideal, perfecta para los mas exigentes. / Was a nice surprise to receive an invitation to attend to Anglomania's catwalk. A male brand focus on a elegant man who like to dress good, that have a lot of personality and taste for fashion. A firm made between tradition and modernity, between British and latin style, among serious and careless air. That's Anglomania a unique, creative and gorgeous brand, perfect for the most pick ones.


El desfile fue exquisito y creativo de principio a fin. Las luces se apagan, y a escena sale un sastre (interpretado por el empresario Michi Primo de Rivera) vistiendo a su cliente (el modelo Miguel A. Herrera). La escena hace un guiño a la satrería de siempre, en la que se centra la firma Anglomania pero adaptada a nuestros tiempos. / The catwalk was exquisite and creative from beginning to end. The lights came off, and in the scene a tailor (play by the successful businessman, Michi Primo de Rivera) dress his client (the model Miguel A. Herera). The scene is a nod of all times tailoring, in which the firm is focuses but adapted to those days.



Una vez que la performance termina, aclamada por los asistentes, el desfile comienza. Los modelos empiezan a desfilar mostrando la colección otoño/invierno 2014-2015 de Anglomania. Una colección inspirada en el estilo británico adaptado a el siglo XXI , reinventado y renovado. / Onces the performance ends, acclaimed by the attendees, the catwalks began. The models start trooping with Anglomania's fall/winter 2014-2015 collection. A collection inspired in the classic british style adapted to the 21th century, reinvented and renew.

Los tonos son fuertes, vivos. Los marrones, y grises, combinan con naranjas, amarillos, verdes, burdeos, lilas, rosa chicle, azules y rojos. Como estampados la estrella es el príncipe de gales. / The colors are strong. Browns and grey match with oranges, yellow, green, maroon, lilac, pink, blues and red. As prints the star is Prince of Wales plaids.


Los tejidos: la pana, el terciopelo, la franela, el algodón, y la lana. / The fabrics: corduray, velvet, flannel, cotton, and wool. 



Las prendas se centran en la sastrería artesanal. Las americanas son cortas con mangas estrechas decoradas por ojales abiertos, las solapas de las chaquetas tienen puntas redondas. Los pantalones son estrechos, con o sin pinza, para todos los gustos. / The garments are focus on traditional tailoring. Blazers are short with tight sleeves decorated with open buttonholes and the blazers lapels have round ends. Pants are tight, with or without pleats, for all tastes.



Trajes de chaqueta muy british de dos y tres piezas, estos últimos constan de fantásticos chalecos a juego. Jerseys de lana con un toque casual, jerseys de cuello vuelto que le dan un toque sensual y atractivo al hombre, chaquetas de lana, las americanas decoran estilismos casuales, plumas cortos y en forma de chaleco, chaquetas reversibles, vaqueros, pantalones casuales en tonos fuertes. / Very British suits of two or three pieces, the last one count with great matching vests. Wool casual sweaters, turtle neck sweaters gave him a sensual and attractive look, wool jackets, blazer match with casual pants, short quilted and waistcoats, reversible jackets, jeans, casual pants in strong colors.




Como detalle hay que destacar los botones que le dan mucha personalidad a las distintas prendas. Y la mezcla de tonos gracias a los colores de los calcetines que jugaban con el estilismo, y el color, dejando ver ese toque trendy. / As detail we should highlight are the bottoms, they gave plenty of personality to the garment itself. And the mix of colors, due to the socks tones that play with look and color, giving that trendy touch.

En el ultimo tercio del desfile, empezaron a desfilar chaques y trajes para ocasiones muy especiales, Destacaron uno color vino en terciopelo, y un chaque gris con chaleco príncipe de gales en tonos azules. / In the last part of the runway, especial occasions swallowtails, tuxedos and suits started parade. Is necesarry to highligh a maroon velvet suit, and a grey swallowtail with plaid print vest in blue.




Otro de los momentos mas especiales del desfile se produjo a son de James Bon, uno de los modelos lucia un traje negro con pajarita a juego al mas puro estilo del agente británico, solo le faltaba una copa de dry Martini en la mano. Es sin duda mi apuesta favorita. / Another especial part of the catwalks, was when James Bon soundtrack was on, a model show up with a black jacket with matching bow tie, just like teh british agent, he just miss the dry Martini in his hand. There is no dude is my favorite bet.


Enamorada me quede de un traje que combinaba un pantalón negro con una chaqueta de terciopelo azul y un fajin del mismo color. La chaqueta el ser de manga un poco mas corta, permitía mostrar el puno de la camisa. Un efecto clásico, pero moderno, a temporal y arriesgado. También me gusto la mezcla de una americana British con un chaleco tipo plumas, divino! / I fall in love wih a black pant suit with blue velvet jacket and a sash of the same color. The jacket due to the short sleeves let show the cuff of the shirt. A classic but modern effect, timeless and risky. I also like the mix of a British blazer with a waistcoat, gorgeous!



Los accesorios cobran gran importancia, y es que son un símbolo de la moda y ese street style sello de nuestro país. Corbatas, pajaritas, foulares, pañuelos, tirantes, gorros, gemelos. mochilas y bolsas. Los zapatos, ideales, estaban firmados por Loake. / The accessories are really important, they are a symbol of Spain's fashion and street style culture. Ties, bow ties, scarves, suspenders, hats, cufflinks, bags and backpacks. The gorgeous shoes were sign by Loake.




El desfile fue fantástico, una grata sorpresa para todos los amantes del vestuario masculino. De esta firma situada en la calle Villanueva de Madrid, se va a oír hablar mucho, y apuesto a que nos traerá sorpresas en el futuro. / The catwalk was gorgeous, a great surprise for all men fashion lovers. We are going to hear a lot of this brand settle at Villanueva street in Madrid, I bet it will bring us great surprises in the future.

CHANEL N5 PERFUME BOTTLE CLUTCH

La moda hace cosas increíbles, como también lo logran otras disciplinas; en 2001 Steve Jobs presento el iPod, un accesorio electrónico moderno que permitía llevar en el bolsillo toda la colección musical que poseías, nadie hubiera pensado que fuera posible, pero lo era. Asi el equipo de Karl Laregfeld ha querido ofrecer una alternativa a los modelos de bolsos de mano aburridos y se ha centrado en uno de sus símbolos mas representativos: el bote de perfume Chanel N.5. Pero alguien se planteo si era posible diseñar un bolso en forma de botella y que se llevara como un accesorio mas? / Fashion design incredible things, another disciplines also does it, like in 2001 when Steve Jobs presented the iPod, an electronic modern accessory that let you take your entire music library in your pocket, nobody would thought it was possible, but it was. The same way, Karl Lagerfeld team had wanted to offer an alternative to the boring traditional clutch purse and had been focus on one representative Chanel symbol: Chanel N.5 Perfume bottle. But did someone had thought that designing a bag with the form of a bottle was going to work in the market? 




La idea, en un principio, era hacer un post sobre le street style de Paris, estos días de Enero en que se ha celebrado la Semana de Alta Costura, pero me he encontrado con mas imágenes de  detalles, en los que este clutch era el protagonista, que con looks que realmente fueran idóneos para comentarlos y publicarlos.  Asi que por casualidad, si es que las casualidades existen, este bolso de Chanel es el protagonista de hoy, espero disfrutes de este post y de sus imágenes. / The idea, at the begging was to write about Paris Haute Couture Week looks, but I had find more details images, where this clutch was the protagonist, than great looks to be able to comment and post. La presentación, del clutch, se realizo en el desfile de la colección Crucero de 2014, pero no fue la primera vez que se vio un bolso en forma de bote, no. Lanvin y Charlotte Olympia, habían precedido a Chanel. Por un lado Lanvin, con un bolso inspirado en el estilo francés con aire vintage, y por el otro, Charlotte Olympia, con una versión femenina, y algo cursi. Obviamente, no hace falta decir, que el éxito se lo llevo Chanel. / The clutch presentation took place at the Chanel Cruise 2004 collection, but it wasn't the first time it was seen a clutch with the form of a bottle. Lanvin and Charlotte Olympia, were first. Lanvin clutch was inspired in old French with a vintage touch, and Charlotte Olympia, with a feminine and girlish one. Últimamente en las tendencias de Primavera-Verano aparecen los estilos folk, étnico, hippy, hippie-chic o el nombre que se inventen. El caso es que, es un concepto de moda relajado, desenfadado, cómodo y fashion, amado por muchos, y odiado por unos pocos, es posible que ese sea el motivo de su éxito. / Lately, in the Spring-Summer trends the folk, ethnic, hippy, hippy-chic styles or what ever the name is given, are in. Is a relaxing, free and easy, comfortable and fashion concept love by many and hate by few, that is probably the reason for it success.




Esta nueva temporada se trata de los flecos, esos bordes deshilachados que ponen malas a nuestras abuelas, pero que son estilosos y gracias a ese aire desenfadado, denotan personalidad y carácter a nuestro look. / This new season is about fringes, those frayed ends which make sick our grandmothers butare stylish and thanks to the relaxed air they spreed, give personality and character to our look.



Pero odiado o no, en la Primavera 2014 vienen con mucha fuerza. Lo importante es buscar una prenda, un estilo y una tela que cuadre y entre a formar parte de la combinación perfecta. / You must have to seek for a garment, style and fabric that match and start and make the right combination. 

1. Cazadora bonita. / Cute jacket. 


Es la prenda rebelde por excelencia, si le añades unos flecos seras rebelde pero despreocupada, folk pero con aire cowboy, trendy pero clásica. Ahora, si quieres estar a la moda, una chaqueta con flecos es tu mejor opción. / Is the rebel garment, if you add fringes to it you will be rebel but relaxed, folk but with a cowboy touch, trendy but classic. Noe, if you want to be in fashion trends, a jacket with fringes are your best option.



2. Teje que te teje. / Knit wear.


El punto cada vez esta mas de moda, y si ahora le incorporamos los flecos como elemento decorativo, obtenemos la prenda del momento; especial, con aire étnico y con un ligero toque Isabel Marant, por que no? / Knit each time is more into fashion, and if now we add fringes as a decorative elemnt, we will get the garment of the moment; special,  with a ethnic touch and a bit of Isabel Marant influence, why not?




3. Chalecos al poder! / Vest get the power.


No hay prenda mas folk que el chaleco, ese pequeño amigo del que nos olvidamos en muchas ocasiones pero que, sin embargo, resuelve o le da un toque de personalidad a cualquier look./ There is not such a folk garment than a vest, that small friend we forget about in many times but, however, it solve or give a personality touch to any look.

Los mejores momentos de la vida son cuando estas rodeada de los tuyos y disfrutas de cada minuto. 2. Para ir a la playa. / Beach time.


Hace muchos años, se llevaban los flecos en las camisetas o top de tipo crop top para lucir en la playa, o por las calles de lugares de veraneo por excelencia como Ibiza, Malibu, Sao Paulo. Entonces era la primera vez que se introducían como elemento decorativo de prendas, y ahora retoman su camino atacando con fuerza y con energías nuevas. / Many years ago, fringes were in in t-shirts and crop tops to be wear for the beach and on the street of summer places such as Ibiza, Malibu or Sao Paulo. Then it was the first time they were introduce in fashion as a decorative element, now they are back on their way, stronger and with new energies.




3. Para abusar de la moda en sentido pleno. / To laught at fashion, in a pure sense. 


"La vida es una carrera de obstáculos" piensan muchos, pero la vida realmente es lo que tu quieras que sea. Tienes ese poder en tus manos, así que úsalo! En cuanto a la moda, es una herramienta para disfrutar de la vida, jugar con tus estilismos, y reírte de ti misma, no lo olvides. / "Life is a obstacle race" think many, but life really is what you want it to be. Como sabes me gusta sacar looks de las Semanas de la Moda; las modelos, estilistas, it-girl, bloggers y fashionistas son la mejor referencia para tener en cuanto a temas de estilismo y saber vestir. Son una referencia que marca modas, y tendencias. Que seduce a mas de uno, y que deja huella en este mundo que tanto nos gusta: el de la moda. / As you already know I love to publish Fashion Week looks; the models, it-girls, bloggers and fashionist are the best reference to have if we talk about looks and now how to dress. They are a reference that set fashion ideas and trends. It seduce many, and left a footprint in the world we love that much: fashion.


Recientemente, y como predecesora al pret a porte, la Semana de Moda de Alta Costura de París, tuvo lugar el pasado mes de Enero. He recopilado algunos de los mejores looks para compartirlos contigo. Veamoslos! / Lately, and as forerunner of pret a porter, Paris Haite Couture Week took place last January. I have gather some of the best looks to share them with you. Let's see them.

Estilismos y mas. / Looks and more.

Esos tonos duces, ese vestido de chica buena y trabajo artesanal de infarto es toda una obra de arte. Mezclarlo con un sombrero y una chupa con bordados, es todo un éxito. Me encanta! / Those sweet colors, the good girl dress and handmade craftsmanship work is a piece of art. Mixing it with a hat and a embroidered jacket, make it a winner. I love it!


Miroslava Dumas no se pierde una y siempre lo hace demostrando que es una de las mejores estilistas del momento. De negro con toques azules al estilo de una reina de fiestas, a cuadros para jugar a las damas, o en tweet verde al mas puro estilo ruso, sus estilismos son muy especiales y únicos. Si ella no es un refrente, no se quien si lo sera. / Miroslava Dumas don't miss a fashion event, and she always prove she is one of the biggest stylish of those days. In black with blue details in a homecoming queen look, with plaid to play checkers, or in a green tweet outfit too Russia, her looks are special and unic. If she is not a fashion reference, who is?




Olga Kurylenko estaba divina con este conjunto recatado y clásico de Chanel. No se que me gusta mas de todo el conjunto pero estaba ideal y capto las miradas de todos los flashes. / Olga Kurylenko look gorgeous with this demure and classic Chanel look. I can't decide what I like more of it, she look beautiful and capture all the looks of the flashs.


La actriz española, Blanca Suárez, iba divina vestida con un vestido y una capa a juego, todo de Stéphane Rolland colección Otoño 2012. Fue una de las sensaciones de París, y es que esta chica promete. / The Spanish actress Blanca Suárez, was dress with a total look (dress and cape) from Stéphane Rolland Fall 2012. She was a sensation in Paris, this girl is a diamond.


El dorado siempre ha sido el símbolo de la sofisticacion, del poder y de la elegancia (siempre y cuando se tenga claro como llevarlo). Si a ello le añadimos el estilo barroco y el negro, logramos como resultado un efecto chic, trendy y elegante. Como colofon, los botones dorados del chaquetón, que destacan, junto con el colgante. No se que me gusta mas, si los pantalones o los zapatos. / Gold has always been a symbol of sophistication, power, and elegance (as long as you know how to wear it). If we add a barroc style and black, we get as a resuly a chic, trendy and elegant effect. To end up the gold bottoms highlight along with the pendant. I am not sure what I like more, the pants or the shoes.


No dejare de repetirlo, "en la sencillez esta la máxima sofisticacion". Paz Tatiana Dyagileva estaba ideas con un jersey tricolor (gris, azul y negro), una minifalda negra y unos botines azules y negros de Chanel. No me puede gustar mas su estilismo, esta divina! / I won't stop sying: "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". Paz Tatiana Dyagileva looked gorgeous with a three color dress (grey, blue and black), a black mini skirt and a pair of blue and black booties by Chanel. I can't love more her style, she looks divine!


El color de la Primavera 2014 son los tonos paste; rosa, azul y verde. La mezcla con el traje azul klein hace que se fusionen ambos tonos, como si uno diera paso al otro. Combinar dos tonos improbables de combinar en ocasiones logran la mezcla perfecta. / Spring 2014 will bring pastel colors: pink, blue and green. The mix with the klein blue suite make fuse both colors, as if one will give way to the other. Matching two tones we didn't think about before, in some occasions, make the perfect match.


De Dior iba Kate Bosworth. La actriz americana no se pierde una, y es que es una it-girl con mucho estilo y todos se pelean por ella para que este en su front-row. Con un vestido de cuadros en gris, azul y negro, y unos  zapatos a juego bicolor (azul y negro) se paseo por las calles de Paris. /Kate Bosworth wore Dior. The American actress don't miss any, she is a very stylish it-girl, all of the designers what to have her on their front-row. With a plaid grey, blue and black dress, and bicolor shoes (blue and black) she walk though Paris streets.


Hay que ser arriesgada para ponerse un vestido largo, son divinos pero pocas se atreven con ellos. Por que? porque nos hacen una figura muy distinta a la que estamos acostumbradas a ver delante del espejo, y eso psicológicamente nos choca. Aun así, los estilismos con prendas largas quedan ideales, siempre y cuando no seas muy bajita, y tengas una figura estilizada. En el look de abajo, el azul klien se mezcla con el marrón del chaleco de pelos, demostrado, una vez mas, que el azul y el marrón son unos grandes aliados. / You must be risky to wear a long dress, they are gorgeous but few dare to wear them. Why? Because, they make us a different figure of what we are use to see in the mirrow, and it annoy us, we see ourselves wired. Even so, the looks with long garments look great as long as you are not too short and have a slim figure. The look below, klein blue mix with the brow of the fur vest, proving onces more, brow and blue match together just great.


Erica Pelosini escogió un conjunto que dejaba entrever su personalidad y la seguridad que tiene en si misma. Un abrigo de pelo (que están teniendo mucho éxito esta temporada) destaca sobre unos botines barrocos muy Dolce & Gabbana. Que te parece este estilismo? /Erica Pelosini chose an outfit that glimpse her personality and the confident she got on hersleve. A fur coat (they are so in right now) highlight over a baroque Dolce & Gabbana booties. What do you think of her look?
