Estaba preparando un post sobre tendencias, sin embargo esta tarde he leído un articulo de 2011, de uno de mis personajes favoritos, Andy Stalman, sobre los blogs. Sin mas, me ha parecido interesante hacer una reflexión sobre ellos, en el fondo soy mas blogger que nada, en mi currículum debería poner "blogger ante todo". Imagino que muchas y muchos de los que me leeis tambien lo sois. Y sino, al menos, sois internautas, e utilizais los blogs como información o fuente de inspiración. Me equivoco? / I was working on a trend post, however this afternoon I had read a 2011 article about blogs by one of my favorite contemporary genius, Andy Stalman. Is interesting to reflect on them, definitely I am more blogger than everything, in my resume should be written "blogger after all". I am positive many of you are too. And if not, at least you are a net user and use blogs as information of inspiration resource, don't you?

Llega un momento que ser blogger se convierte en una forma de vida, es un trabajo de 24 horas, no hay descansos posibles. Lógicamente, sino lo eres es posible que no lo entiendas, nadie te puede culpar de ello. Los blogs se empezaron a conocer bajo el nombre de "cuadernos de bitácora" pero como pasa siempre en el lenguaje, las palabras abreviadas terminan conquistando a las complejas. El termino blog, es anglosajón, en un principio se llamaba "Weblog" (web + log), con el tiempo la "we" se empezó a omitir y se quedo el termino "blog". Según cuenta Andy Stalman, la revolución se inicio en 2004; de Andy me fio mas que de nadie en estos temas, es un maestro del branding, le he tenido delante de mi en mas de una ponencia, y os lo digo, el tipo es sabio, cautivador, un gran maestro, y un magnifico orador. / The blogs started to be known as "Weblogs" (web + log), which is an English word, but as usually happen with the languages, we tend to short words and it ended up to miss the "we" and started to be called "blog", the word "log" means diary. As Andy Stalman said, the blog revolution started in 2004; I trust Andy in these subjects, he is a master of branding, I had been in more than one talks, and I tell you, he is clever, captivate, a big master, and a amazing public speaker.

Al principio simplemente eran un diario de alguien, un sujeto que estaba al otro lado de la pantalla, pero con el tiempo se fueron trasformando, y se convirtieron en una herramienta informativa, visual, y de ocio. Recuerdo cuando ciertas revistas de moda, ponían el grito en el cielo por el fenómeno blogger, pero en una sociedad hambrienta de información, la alarma no era para tanto, hay terreno suficiente para los dos medios, y el tiempo lo demostró. Años mas tarde las revistas se han adaptado y han incorporado los blogs a sus webs como si se tratase de una columna de opinión de cualquier periódico o revista lo que es magnifico. De hecho, si la serie Sexo en Nueva York se hubiera escrito ahora, Carrie no escribiría para una columna, sino que tendría su propio blog alojado en la web de Vogue. /At the begging it was only someone diary from a person at the other side of the screen but time changed it, and have turn them into a informative, visual and leisure tool. I remember when few fashion magazine used to drive mad about the blogger phenomeno, but in a society hungry for information, the alarm wasn't necessary, there is room enoght for both media, and time proved it. Years later magazine have adapted and have add blogs to there websites, as if they were an newpaper column, which is great. If the show Sex and The City were invented those days, Carrie wouldn't wrote a colum, she will write a blog host in Vogue.

Existen miles de tipos de blog, podría estar escribiendo días sobre ellos y siempre habría algo nuevo que añadir. Pero como este blog es de moda, centrémonos en dicho sector, un sector que tiene mucho que decir, no nos olvidemos que se trata de la segundo que mas ingresos aporta a España. / There are many blogs, I could write for days, and I would always find something new to add. Un egoblog es un blog cuyo autor muestra fotos de si mismo, y habla de si mismo. Los egoblogs tienden a darse en el sector moda, en ellos la autora aparece en fotos mostrando sus atuendos y como ella misma lleva una tendencia, o que se pone para pasar el domingo en el campo. / The egoblog, is a blog whose author publish image of herslef, or talk about herself. Han habido miles de criticas sobre ellos, o mas bien sobre sus protagonistas. Pero en el fondo, cuando expresamos nuestro punto de vistas, comentamos algo sobre nosotros, o contamos algo que nos ha sucedido, no tiene una parte "Ego" en ello? / There had been many critics about them, or maybe about their protagonist. But at the end, when we express our point of view, said something about ourselves, or tell something that has happend to us, there is not an "Ego" side on this?

Cuando hay un boom todo el mundo se aprovecha, y eso han echo las revistas. Bastantes quebraderos de cabeza han tenido ya, al final han optado por hacer lo mas lógico: "sino puedes con el enemigo, únete a el". Pero en este caso con mas ventaja que el resto, ya que los personajes que escriben sus blogs (que en el fondo son columnistas) son conocidos y populares, por lo que el merito no es el mismo. / When something works evryone takes advantage of it, and the magazine have done it too. They have had many headaches, so they have choose to do what is more logical: "if you can't beat your enemie, join it". But this time with more benefits than the rest, the bloggers they collaborate with are popular and well known, so the achivements are not the same.

El problema que se plantea, es que cualquiera puede abrir un blog, no es necesario pasar un proceso de selección, un psicotécnico o un examen, no hay ningún tipo de requisito mas que sentarte delante de un ordenador y ponerse a ello. Lo complicado viene después, cuando te das cuenta de que se trata de un trabajo constante, de ir sembrando semillas días tras dia, semana tras semana, semillas cuyo fruto desconoces, pero que hay que sembrar. Ahí, es cuando se pone difícil cuando son olvidados, por eso hay cientos de blogs abandonados, son como pequeños Titanics que han naufragado, pero cuya estela se sigue vislumbrado. / The problem is that anyone who want it can have a blog, there is no need a Human Resources process, a text or an interview, the only requirement is to seat in front of the computer and start working. Nadie sabe claramente que pasara con ellos, seguramente con el tiempo vayan desapareciendo y solo queden los mejores, o las personas mas constantes y comprometidas serán quienes los sigan manteniendo. / No one really knows what would happen with them, with time they might start disappearing and only few will survive; probably the best ones, or those made by constant and committed bloggers.
